This policy explains how Remote Control Toys Kenya handles personal information when you browse our store, ask about a product, place an order or request support.
Who is responsible for your information?
Remote Control Toys Kenya, also known as ONIT RC WORLD, operates this store at remotecontroltoys.co.ke. For information you provide directly to us, we are responsible for deciding how it is used to serve you. Our shop is at Shop F10, 1st Floor, Platinum Plaza, Tom Mboya Street, opposite Imenti, Nairobi CBD, Kenya.

Information we handle
- Enquiries and orders: your name, contact details, delivery or billing address, selected products, quantities, order reference and messages you send us.
- Payment and after-sales records: payment status or transaction references, proof of purchase, return details and relevant photos you choose to provide. Do not send a payment PIN, password, card security code or one-time verification code.
- Account information: login and order information where you have a customer account. Guest checkout does not require an account.
- Website use: pages requested, browser and device information, IP addresses in connection or security logs, and cookies or similar storage described in our Cookie Policy.
- Product reviews: a display name, rating and review text if you submit a review. Published reviews are visible to other visitors; keep addresses and private order details out of them.
Why we use it
We use the details needed to answer questions, prepare and deliver orders, communicate about purchases, handle returns, maintain purchase records and protect the store against misuse. Order details may be shared with a courier to arrange a delivery, or with a payment provider to confirm a payment or refund.
You can browse without giving us your name. To fulfil an order or arrange delivery, we need sufficient contact and fulfilment details; without them we may be unable to complete that request. Optional information, such as a public review, is your choice.
The legal basis depends on the purpose: steps you request before a purchase or performance of a contract; applicable record-keeping obligations; legitimate interests such as security and resolving enquiries, balanced against your rights; or consent where required. Agreeing to buy a toy is not blanket permission for unrelated marketing. You may withdraw consent for a consent-based use by contacting us.
Cookies and advertising features
The store uses cart and account functions, device storage for saved products, and WooCommerce order-attribution cookies that record how a visitor reached the shop. Attribution details can be attached to an order. The site also includes a Reddit advertising integration, whose operation depends on its connection and settings.

Service providers and external platforms
Hosting, store administration, delivery, communications and payment services may process information needed for their role. Connected advertising services may process event or referral information when their tracking features operate. We do not publish your delivery address, email address or private support messages as part of the product catalogue.
If you follow a Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp or Google Maps link, that provider handles information under its own privacy terms. Send us only the information needed for the enquiry. Avoid sending sensitive documents through public comments.
A provider may process information outside Kenya. Any such transfer must meet the safeguards or other conditions required by Kenyan data-protection law. Contact us if you need information about the providers or transfer arrangements relevant to your request.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the record and its purpose. An enquiry may need to be kept while it is being resolved; purchase and refund records may need to be retained for accounting, legal obligations and disputes. We do not promise an automatic deletion date that overrides those obligations. You can ask what information is held about you, why it is still needed and whether it can be deleted.
Device storage has separate lifetimes, described in the Cookie Policy. Clearing your browser does not delete an order record held by the store.
Your privacy rights
Under Kenyan data-protection law, you have rights to information about the use of your data, access, objection to processing, and correction or deletion of false or misleading information. Other requests, including erasure and withdrawal of consent, depend on the applicable legal conditions. See the ODPC explanation of data-subject rights.
Email us with the request and enough information to find the relevant record. We may need proportionate identity verification before releasing or changing private information. If a record must be kept, we will explain the reason. You may also raise a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner; you do not have to give up that right to contact us.
Children and account security
Adults should arrange purchases and provide contact and delivery details when buying for a child. Please do not include a child’s school, photograph or other unnecessary personal information in an order or public review. A parent or guardian can contact us about information provided by a child.
Keep account credentials private and contact us if you suspect misuse of an account or order. No website can guarantee absolute security.
Policy updates
We will update this page when the store’s practices change. The date above identifies this version; an update does not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
